Surprise, surprise… Perez Hilton got it wrong.

The Internet canker sore that is PerezHilton.com has reported that Nick Lachey was getting flirty with television personality Stuart Brazell during a recent outing.

Brazell had Facebook’d a photo alongside the 98 Degrees member that looked more like a fan photo op than any kind of shenanigans going on behind wife Vanessa Minnillo’s back.

Her caption, read: “With one of my absolute faves Nick Lachey — at Paramount Studios.”

Well, Perez being Perez flipped that post on its head, quoting a supposed source saying: “He wanted to know everything about her. You never would’ve guessed he’s married with a baby!” Right guys...

The site added:

"Oh shiz!

This ain’t looking good.

We’re seriously hoping for the best, because Nick seems like such a doting dad and happily in love with his missus."

But the rumor starter, along with the rest of you, can put that faux-concern away. Hollyscoop reached out to the gorgeous Stuart Brazell who told us this about the supposed cheating scandal:

"I am happily married and simply took a photo with Nick at a party. I told him I was a huge fan of 98 degrees growing up and that he has a beautiful family.”

So relax, people… Nick Lachey is not a flirt or a cheater. He's just a really nice guy. Now go about your day.
