From Billy Bob To Brad Pitt – Angelina Jolie Dating History
1991 - 1995
Jolie and Jenny Shimizu first met on the set of Clint Eastwood's action film Foxfire (1982) and had an on and off relationship for many years. On several occasions, Jolie admitted she was bisexual, saying, "I would probably have married Jenny if I hadn't married my husband. I fell in love with her the first second I saw her."
March 1996 - February 1999
After co-starring with Johnny Lee Miller in the thriller Hackers (1995), the two began dating and eventually got married. Jolie wore black rubber pants and a white shirt, baring the name Jonny, which she wrote with her own blood.
May 2000 - May 2003
One of Hollywood's most train wreck of a relationship, Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton were the talk of the town when the two showed up to events with vials containing each other's blood hanging from their necks. When the couple finally broke up, Jolie told the press, "It took me by surprise, too, because overnight, we totally changed. I think one day we had just nothing in common. And it's scary but... I think it can happen when you get involved and you don't know yourself yet."
Jolie first met womanizer Colin Farrell while shooting the epic film Alexander (2004) together, with their immediate connection turning into a full-blown romance. The relationship, however, was never confirmed.
Rumors that Jolie and Nicolas Cage were dating erupted after the two were seen kissing at a formal event in 2003.
2005 - Present
After co-starring together in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Jolie and Brad Pitt made headlines when a picture of the two and her son Maddoxx at a Kenya beach emerged in the tabloids. The fact that the pictures came out a month after Brad's ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce, made the romance even more scandalous and spawned the infamous t-shirt war -- Team Aniston vs. Team Jolie.
In 2005, Brad filed documents to adopt both of Jolie's children: her son Maddox and daughter Zahara, both of which hail from Cambodia.
In an interview with People magazine on January 11, 2006, Jolie confirmed that the two were a couple and expecting a child together. When asked if they were planning to have a wedding, the two said they would not tie the knot until it was legal for EVERYONE to get married.
April 2012 - Present
With six years together, six kids under their belt and no sign of people's ignorance declining anytime soon, the two decided to begin preparing for an up-coming wedding despite the LGBT community's lack of rights.
